The Isle of Man features a high-income economy driven by a low tax regime that attracts businesses, particularly in financial services, online gambling, and light manufacturing. The island has transitioned from traditional sectors such as agriculture and fishing to a more modern focus on technology and tourism, with significant contributions from the insurance and online gaming industries. While the favorable tax environment has drawn high-net-worth individuals and corporations, it has also raised concerns regarding financial crime and the need for compliance with international anti-money laundering standards.
